YVONNE LIME

YVONNE LIME was born in Glendale, California in 1936 and after finishing Junior College, she enrolled in the Pasadena Playhouse. While appearing in the play Ah Wilderness, she was noticed by the talent scouts and eventually signed to feature roles in dozens of TV shows. She made her movie debut in THE RAINMAKER, the only woman in the cast besides Katherine Hepburn. Impressed with her talent, Herman Cohen signed her up for the role of Michael Landon's girlfriend Arlene in I WAS A TEENAGE WEREWOLF. She also appeared in other teenage exploitation movies like UNTAMED YOUTH, HIGH SCHOOL HELLCATS, DRAGSTRIP RIOT, SPEED CRAZY and in Elvis Presley's LOVING YOU. (Newspaper articles in 1957 had a story with photos of Yvonne visitng Elvis at Graceland during Eastertime of 1957, about the time she had been working on TEENAGE WEREWOLF.) There are even rumours that Elvis visited the Teenage Werewolf set.
Some of Yvonne's TV work included appearing as Dotty Snow, Betty's (Elinor Donahue) girlfriend in Father Knows Best, a part in one of Disney's The Hardy Boys serials on The Mickey Mouse Club, Ozzie And Harriet, and in 1960-61, she had her own short-lived series, Happy, with Ronnie Burns.
Two events occured in Yvonne's life that contributed to her decision to stop acting in 1969. First, she married TV producer Don Fedderson (The Millionaire, My Three Sons and Family Affair). She remained his wife until he died in 1994. The other event was a trip to Japan with friend Sara O'Meara with the USO. There she saw the plight of Japanese-American orphans without a place to stay. So Yvonne decided to open an orphanage for these outcasts. When she returned to the USA, she continued her charity work by helping to start Childhelp USA for abused children. Her charity work has been a big part of Yvonne Lime's life ever since. She currently lives in Arizona. (Many thanks to Tom Weaver for helping me update the Yvonne Lime bio.)

SANDRA HARRISON

SANDRA HARRISON was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. in 1935 and always had a flair for the theater. She attended the High School For The Performing Arts and after graduating, attended the Drama Lab in New York. Sandra spent six months with The Lee Strasburg Group and appeared in many TV shows. Her first movie role was in DESIRE UNDER THE ELMS. Herman Cohen auditioned over forty girls before casting Sandra for the lead in BLOOD OF DRACULA. She also appeared in an episode of the Adventures Of Superman TV series, "The Man Who Made Dreams Come True". She is a very versatile person who can speak three languages, has a vocal range from opera to popular music, cooking, costume design and dancing. (At least in the press releases in 1958). Sandra seems to have stopped acting and no other information is available at this time.

GLORIA CASTILLO

GLORIA CASTILLO was discovered by Charles Laughton and featured in Paul Gregory's NIGHT OF THE HUNTER. She appeared in plays like GIGI and The Chalk Garden on the stage. Because of public acclaim for her role in AIP's RUNAWAY DAUGHTERS, she was signed to do INVASION OF THE SAUCER-MEN along with Steve Terrell. She later appeared in the movie TEENAGE MONSTER (originally called METEOR MONSTER) with Anne Gwynne (a favorite actress of mine from the old Universal Pictures of the 1940's. You can catch Anne in HOUSE OF FRANKENSTEIN). Gloria also appeared on TV in episodes of Walt Disney's Zorro, Gunsmoke and GE Theater. Gloria's last film was YOU'VE GOT TO BE SMART (1967). She seems to have stopped acting soon after that.

STEVE TERRELL

STEVE TERRELL started in show business at an early age appearing on the popular Life With Father TV series. He followed this up with roles in many television shows and then was signed by MGM for a featured part in TEA AND SYMPATHY. American International put him uder a five year contract and his first picture for them was RUNAWAY DAUGHTERS. This led to him starring in the movies DRAGSTRIP GIRL and INVASION OF THE SAUCER-MEN. I have little information on Steve and could use an update.

ROBERT H. HARRIS

ROBERT H. HARRIS was born July 15, 1909 and was one of the busiest and best known actors, yet he was seldom recognized by his fans because his face has been invariably altered to fit him for his many roles. His roles have run the gamut from wily Orientals to suave heavies to grizzly old Westerners. He had at various times appeared as a sympathetic Czech doctor, a French detective, an Italian Opera manager, a Vietnamese psychiatrist, a waterfront gangster, a Mexican racketeer and a crazy arsonist.
Robert H. Harris had many leading Broadway roles to his credit, such as Richard 111, Look Ma, I'm Dancin', My Sister, Eileen and Brooklyn, USA. He has played on all the top TV shows, including Playhouse 90, Climax, Studio One and Kraft Theater, and since his arrival in Hollywood in 1956, he has played leading roles in BUNDLE OF JOY, THE BIG CAPER, NO DOWN PAYMENT and PEYTON PLACE.
Producer Herman Cohen had seen Bob in many of his TV and feature films and was so greatly impressed, he signed him for the leading role of the make-up artist in HOW TO MAKE A MONSTER. He also appeared in VALLEY OF THE DOLLS in 1967. He was married to Louise Lewis, who also appeared in a few films for Herman Cohen (see her bio). Mr. Harris died on November 30, 1981.

GARY CLARKE

GARY CLARKE (real name Clark L'Ameroux) was born in Los Angeles, attended Woodrow Wilson High School and took part in athletics and drama. Gary was seen by Doc Bishop of 20th Century Fox in the production Quiet Summer and was encouraged to pursue an acting career. Gary soon appeared in the movies DRAGSTRIP RIOT, MISSILE TO THE MOON, DATE BAIT, WILD WILD WINTER, DEVIL'S CHILDREN, CONFESSIONS OF TOM HARRIS, GABRIELLA as well as Larry Mantell in HOW TO MAKE A MONSTER, taking over the Teenage Werewolf role from Michael Landon. He also appeared on the TV series The Virginian as Steve Hill from 1962-64; Other TV appearances were in the series Hondo (TV) and as a regular in the Michael Shayne, Private Eye TV series.
In an interview with Paul Parla and Charles P. Mitchell in SCARY MONSTERS magazine # 28, Gary revealed he was one of the original members of the Lettermen singing group, but decided to leave to continue acting. I recommend the article (and the magazine) for those who wish to know more about Gary Clarke.

DONALD MURPHY

DONALD RANDOM MURPHY was born on January 29, 1918 in Chicago, Illinois. He was an actor, known for FRANKENSTEIN'S DAUGHTER (1958), Cavalcade of America (1952) and The United States Steel Hour (1953). He died on May 19, 2008 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Screen and stage actor, renowned interior designer and a beloved prominent figure in Santa Fe since his first residency here in 1928, died at home May 19, 2008 at the age of 90. Donald will be remembered for his courtly manner, trenchant humor, and charming wit. After passing his younger years in Santa Fe, the talented Donald went on to great success on Broadway, in various movies from 1954 to 1971 (KILLER LEOPARD, MASTERSON OF KANSAS, SHACK OUT ON 101, ON THE THRESHOLD OF SPACE and STRANGE INTRUDER) and in numerous TV appearances in the same period ( Life And Legend of Wyatt Earp, Tombstone Territory, Bat Masterson, Lawman, One Step Beyond, Perry Mason and Get Smart. In later years his films have become cult classics. A Chicago native, Donald returned to Santa Fe and was widely sought for his deep knowledge of antiques, his extraordinary talent in interior design and his unfailingly delightful company.

LYN OSBORN

LYN OSBORN was born January 23, 1926 in Wichita Falls, Texas and appeared at the Pasadena Playhouse before joining the TV kiddie series Space Patrol as Cadet Happy. He was soon joined by Ed Kemmer , who played Commander Corry, the lead role in that series, which lasted from 1950 to 1955. Lyn appeared in the films INVASION OF THE SAUCER-MEN, THE AMAZING COLOSSAL MAN, ARSON FOR HIRE AND THE COSMIC MAN, before he died in August 31, 1958 at age 32 of a brain tumor, following surgery.
