Back in 1957, a short story version of I WAS A TEENAGE WEREWOLF was published in the British Monster magazine SCREEN CHILLS and Macabre Stories and the author was listed as Ralph Thornton, who was credited with writing the screenplay too. As we have come to learn, Ralph Thornton was the pseudonym for Aben Kandel and Herman Cohen. In 1987 Peter Haining edited the book WEREWOLF: Horror Stories of the Man Beast which was published by Severn House and reprinted the story. I have scanned the story from the Haining book in the following pages.
