The Plot: Regg, Julie, Skip, Pam, Morrie and Dot, six energetic teenagers plan to go water skiing in Regg's speedboat. Pam has prepared a lunch and Skip informs the others that they can eat it on an island he heard about. No one has seen this island and Regg doesn't really think they will find it but he is willing to try. Morrie and Dot decide not to go along. It is arranged that Regg will pick up Morrie and Dot later, when they return from skiing.
As the kids merrily water ski, they travel farther and farther across the water. They spot the island that Skip had mentioned and make for it. After lunch they do some exploring.
They soon discover a strange old house nearly hidden between the trees. Julie notices some people moving about the grounds. Their odd behavior and weird appearance is frightening to the girls. Pam becomes really terrified as a woman sees her and points the kids out to the others. The kids run back to the water to discover that their boat has been stolen. They are overpowered by a hugh brute who has been waiting for them to return for their boat and are taken to the house where they are locked in steel cages. A strange woman who refers to herself as the doctor, who is working for an unnamed foreign power, tells the kids they should not have come to the island for now they will never leave it alive. They will be used in experiments she is conducting in her laboratory.
Morrie and Dot who have been waiting impatiently for the kids return are afraid something has happened to Regg's boat out on the water. They report the missing kids to the sheriff. The sheriff organizes a search with the aid of a police boat.
On the island we learn that the mysterious lady doctor is conducting experiments on human beings with a nerve gas that causes a zombie like state. Her plan is to make slaves of the worlds' population. Julie and Pam are taken from their cages and placed in the chamber where they will be subjected to the gas. Regg and Skip manage to escape from thier cages in an attempt to rescue the girls. The sheriff arrives on the island accompanied by Morrie and Dot. As the sheriff enters the laboratory he does nothing to save the girls. We learn he is working with the doctor and has been supplying her with prisoners for her experiments. When the sheriff decides he wants to quit helping her, he is shot. Regg and Skip spring into action and overpower the doctor and her helpers. Too late, however, to stop the nerve gas as Julie and Pam's minds are completely gone. Regg demands the doctor provide an antidote, but she refuses. One of her aides cracks when Reg is about to put him into the gas chamber and supplies the antidote. Skip administers this until the girls recover. The doctor and one of her aides is captured and turned over to the authorities.
